TABLES:

Where our apprenticeship to Jesus grows

We started around a table and that’s where many still feel the most comfortable

TABLES are a type of gathering that takes place in homes or online. These gatherings are intentionally smaller in size (8-10 adults) because intimacy enhances our lives as apprentices. People who do or do not attend Sundays often participate because almost everyone is looking for a deeper connection and safe space to be honest. Here’s how some work:

  • Potluck: What are you eating tonight? Add a couple servings and bring it along. Please bring something more than a bag of chips or salad as smaller side dishes puts pressure on the host to provide additional food. You don’t have to bring something fancy. Pasta is great!

  • Conversation: Our conversations around the Table start or pick up the discussion in response to Sunday’s Lead In. Come having listened to the last Lead In ready to wonder what difference it will make in your life next week as you apply it. The Table Notes from Sunday serve only as a starting point to the discussion.

  • Clean Up: A family that eats together ought to clean up together. Please help your host return their home to “normal.”

** Some TABLES do not eat a full meal together but instead choose to enjoy a snack or beverage. **

Our In Person Tables:

Our Online Table

If you’re not ready or unavailable for in person gathering we offer short four week online Tables for people to dip their toes into a Jesus Centred community. These follow the same conversation format as our in person Tables. After the four weeks are up we would encourage one another to join our sunday morning gathering or another in person Table. If that’s not possible due to distance or other reason the group can discuss continuing or other plans.
