Mosaic: Explore

Welcome To REUNION

We are glad that you are here. We hope that you feel save, welcomed and relaxed. We are going to read the Bible, pray, sing a few songs and listen to a short Lead In. We might even have discussions But.. you’re invited to participate as much as you want. No expects you to speak or share. We do invite you to remain present. We believe that remaining present - even in our minds - is an act of love.

Change Requires Change

  • Static Reactions are stuck in the past., “This is how we’ve always done it”

  • Flexible Reactions are rooted in the past but open to allowing present realities to alter our present model (expression of love).

  • Adaptive: A curious mentality that explores potential.

Core Text: Corinthians 9:1-23.

19 Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ. 20 When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law. 21 When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ. 22 When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. 23 I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.

Somethings Change:

  • Explorers: A Culture of Adventure and InnovationWe openly consider and pursue creative new ideas that contribute to our shared sense of mission

    • Wait a second… aren’t we pioneers? We have decided in light of the cultural connection between the term pioneer and colonialism that we’re making a change. Pioneer is word that creates barriers or at least requires a conversation that often we cannot have.

  • Tables are Back: We began around a table and are excited to launch for Tables. Tables are intentionally intimate because lasting transformation takes place as we learn and practice the way of Jesus in smaller groups.

  • Youth Crew: We are excited to offer a consistent youth connections that will include: a monthly connection, youth dedicated break outs on Sunday and a Table.

What’s Next:

You’re invited to explore your communities.

  • spend time walking around your streets

  • listen to your coworkers stories

  • engage in conversation with your neighbours

    • maybe have someone over for dinner or coffee

We’re coming together at the end of November to answer: what is God saying to us and how are we going to respond.
